HOW IS TRAINING DELIVERED?

This training is available in two formats

  1. Classroom based training for job seekers or those entering the Hospitality industry
  2. Supported Distance learning and/or Recognition of Prior Learning for students working in the industry or who have extensive industry experience

 

WHEN CAN I START?

  1. Classroom program commences 19th July 2010 in CBD location - 3 Days per week (plus work experience and assignments) for 26 weeks
  2. Distance/Self Paced learning and RPL program can commence immediately

HOW DO I ENROL?

Option 1 - Visit one of our offices, collect and complete forms on the spot. If you are a distance student, we will provide resources for your first module immediately. For address details, click here

WHAT WILL IT COST?

While the DET NSW are funding these qualifications, they have imposed compulsory administration fees.

  • $621 DET NSW Administration Fee per semester (classroom delivery complete in one semester) OR
  • $51 Concession Fee for eligible recipients of Government Allowances (eg Newstart, Parenting Payment, Youth Allowance etc) OR
  • FREE for Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders and People in receipt of the Disability Support Pension
  • All texts books FREE

 

AM I ELIGIBLE FOR THE GOVERNMENT FUNDING?

Eligibility for Productivity Places Program (PPP) funding is as follows:

 

An Eligible existing Worker is someone who is a NSW resident and works in NSW and is:

  • A person 20 years of age or older who has been in paid employment for more than one hour in the week prior to commencement of training, or

  • A person 15-19 years of age who is not formally enrolled in school and has been in paid employment for more than 15 hours in the week prior to commencement of training.

  • Not an Apprentice or Trainee.

 

An eligible Job Seeker is someone who is a NSW resident and is:

  • Registered with a Job Services Australia provider, or

  • An income support recipient who is not currently required to meet activity test or participation requirements, or

  • A participant in the Community Development Employment Projects scheme, or

  • Not currently working and seeking or intending to seek paid employment or self-employment after completing training, or

  • A participant in the Commonwealth’s Access Program, or

  • Not working and participating in volunteering activities.
