Parent Mentoring Program - DEEWR Innovation Fund ProjectOur Innovation Fund Project, the "Parent Mentoring Program" has reached the end of its funding term. Sadly, we are unable to accept any more referrals into this program. The Parent Mentoring Program was highly successful, and we will be publishing a full report outlining the outcomes and learning gathered during the pilot project. The project had an exceptional employment and educational outcome results demonstrating the importance of addressing the specific concerns and barriers faced by parents returning to the workforce. About the Parent Mentoring ProgramThe Parent Mentoring Program is a FREE program, funded by the DEEWR Innovation Fund. This program is designed to help Disadvantaged Parents into employment after an extended break from the workforce. The project also includes a workshop program which resources participants with information and strategies to address any fears or concerns about returning to work and addresses issues of self confidence faced by many parents returning to work. All participants are also provided with a mentor / life coach who will encourage, motivate and coach each participant towards positive social and employment outcomes. Participants will also enjoy a style make-over which will provide them with a brand new interview outfit, hairstyling and make-up kit
